The past seven days in photography:
- The Vivian Maier Scholarship Fund. “Every year, young photographers will receive financial assistance allowing them to pursue their art with some of the economic burden lifted, thanks to Vivian Maier.” I’m not sure she would appreciate all the things happening around her but funds like this are needed badly by young talents for sure.
- Love Radio. Episodes of love and hate. “Love Radio is a transmedia documentary about the process of reconciliation in post-genocide Rwanda.” A project to keep an eye (or two) on.
- The results of the LensCulture Portrait Awards 2014. Honestly, I prefer the finalists. Nevertheless, congrats to all the winners.
- Real Artists Have Day Jobs–Your job is just your side gig. Our weekly pep talk.
